I read. I write. I talk about reading and writing. That is when I'm not driving kids somewhere or teaching them.
Married, educated, domesticated. I really enjoy the friends I've met through a variety of different message boards and venues regarding reading and authors.
I try to take a positive view when I write reviews but sometimes I can't. Those times are few and far between, but they do exist. I'm mostly an old softy, though. I think so anyway.
I stayed up way too late finishing this book. I could NOT put it down. Which is why I am definitely taking a break of a book or two. I will absolutely gulp every one of these down back-to-back if I don't assert some control over myself.
Anyway, Mercy finds herself up against the fae. She was up against vampires last time and werewolf politics in the first one. I love the world PB has created. It's so dangerous but, as this book proves, no one is helpless.
I highly recommend this series to fans of Urban Fantasy. There's romantic through line, but it's not romance. There are a lot of great characters, and all of them care deeply for Mercy. Again, as I've said already, she's completely worthy of all the love.
